Good day

My name is Nobubelo, a matured and very organized care giver from Zimbabwe and was thoroughly trained by St Johns Ambulance Association as a Carer and have a certificate in Home based Care including advanced First Aid and CPR.

I have been working for Edith Duly Nursing Home in as a carer for 2 years. I nursed various patients within the Home, who had not so similar chronic illnesses which included, dementia patients, patients Parkinson , cancer patients, lupus patients, post op patients, frail patients with arthritis and bedridden patients who used a wheel chair for mobility.

I performed various care activities which included:

Cleaning the patients rooms

Bed changing

Performing full wash and various grooming needs

Assisting able patients to the bathrooms for shower etc

Making meals and feeding the patients

Administering patients medication on time

Checking all vitals like blood pressure,blood sugar, temperature and pulse

Helping patients with exercises

Providing companionship

Cleaning and catheter management

Colostomy care etc

I then moved to Johannesburg as carer for a frail patient who had dementia, severe hypertension and arthritis. I nursed her so well and performed various activities for her which included, bed changing, bed baths, grooming needs, making health meals and feeding the patients, giving her medication on time, checking all vitals and moving her around her wheel chair including doctors appointments and proving the much needed companionship.

I moved to Cape Town early 2023 and been working as carer in Tygerberg as carer for a 91 year old patient who was diabetic and needed delicate care. I performed so many duties from cleaning my patient room, bed changing, performing full wash, grooming needs, administering her medication on time, feeding the patient, checking her vitals especially blood sugar and blood pressure, helping her on all doctors appointments and exercises etc.
