UitenhageQuality ManagementOverseeing the processes for the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring they are established, implemented, and maintained.Managing the issuance of material acceptance specifications.Making decisions on non-conforming raw material.Implementing procedures on new raw materials as required.Manage and lead implementation of new BU processes and standards.Manages and represent the Company during ISO 9001:2015 audits.Manages, prepare and report to BU monthly on Plant quality performance.Managing and leading Management review.Productivity ManagementManaging the processing of all raw materials and product components and ensuring they are optimized throughout the plant.Managing all product, component and compound costing and ensuring it remains current and accurate.Coordinating drives to ensure that Continental’s key objectives are met, in terms of improvements in waste reduction, productivity, quality and safety.Managing and lead to continuously improve the processes, improving productivity.Manage and lead the team to do problem solving (Yokoten).Manage and lead the team to introduce new products that are cost competitive and improve productivity.Customer SatisfactionEnsuring customer satisfaction by leading the drive on continuous improvement in product quality and performance.Manage and lead the team to ensure that Customer 3rd party inspections are done and meets/exceeds Customer expectations.Drive and lead to ensure that Customer need are met prior to production.As representative of the Company ensure that Customer face to face feedback is communicated to all relevant parties.Managing and leading of Customer Complaints, plant representative.Managing and lead, outgoing quality.Technical GuidanceOverseeing the Q-Tech department to provide guidance to both the Sales and Manufacturing teams.Managing product/warranty claims and ensuring they are properly adjudicated and that any ensuing corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented.Manage the team with project management from implementation to final production approval.Company representative and part of the BU technical team to ensure that new products or technical changes are implemented and communicated.Cost ControlEnsuring that the Q-Tech department operates within its planned financial objectives.Set up of department budget for the New Year.Manage and ensure that the manning required for my department are sufficient.Challenge and lead my team to continuously look for cost out initiatives to make us more competitive.QUALIFICATIONSRelevant Degree / 3-Year Diploma in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Equivalent qualificationMinimum 8 Years’ experience and proven competence in polymer manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 Years’ in leading project and process implementationCompany DescriptionAutomotive manufacturing
