Overview

A Junior Bookkeeper/ Accountant with 2 + years experience within the professional services industry required to join a small team to gain international exposure.

Minimum Requirements:

Completed B. Com Accounting/ finance related degree

Strong taxation knowledge particularly VAT

Demonstrate a strong understanding of monthly management reporting (budgets, cashflows, variance analysis)

2+ years solid experience in an accounting/ bookkeeping role

Professional services experience is an advantage

Accounting software experience (preferably Quickbooks) and the ability to learn new systems

Flexibly in working hours as you will be working with international clients

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end accounting function for various clients

Establish and setup/customise new software files for new clients

Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements

Processing Accounts Payable and Receivable

Maintain and establish bank feeds into system

Processing periodic wages using payroll software

Calculate and track accrued annual and personal leave

Calculate and process employee termination payments

Preparation of annual financial statements

Document client processes to create monthly workflow

Perform monthly variance analysis on profit and loss and understand how to structure the chart of accounts

Assistance with Admin tasks such preparation of client engagement letters
