Assistant Accountant

A small owner-managed water treatment business is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. * Processing (70 % of the role) * Bookkeeping to trial balance * Debtors * Creditors * Recons * Invoicing * Quotes * Purchase orders for maintenance department * Xero working experience - Are in the process of changing from QuickBooks to Xero * Bookkeeping to trial balance – min 5 years’ experience * Be able to work independently * Bilingual – English and Afrikaans – will interact with clients * Must have own vehicle and valid licence   Nice to haves: * Self-starter who takes initiative * A strong senior bookkeeper who is also willing to do processing as a big part of the role * Xero working experience - Are in the process of changing from QuickBooks to Xero * Bookkeeping to trial balance – min 5 years’ experience * Be able to work independently * Bilingual – English and Afrikaans – will interact with clients * Must have own vehicle and valid licence   Nice to haves: * Self-starter who takes initiative * A strong senior bookkeeper who is also willing to do processing as a big part of the role
