Trainee Jnr Plant Engineer CSMR - 10 (Extraction Plant – Sugar Industry) - (Richards Bay) Rneg + ben + Company housing

• Must be willing to learn and develop into a fully-fledged plant manager.
• Tech / BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Good technical fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• People and budget management experience.
• Knowledge and experience on computerized maintenance management systems.
• Completion of workplace engineer in training programme – mechanical in a manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
• Asset management, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance experience.
• Sugar industry.
• SMRI 10-week course wil be advantageous.

Key Focus Area:

• The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain the necessary experience and theoretical knowledge to perform duties as a Plant Engineer at the company while making immediate improvements to the factory.
• Self – study and formal training courses (such as SMRI 10-week course in Sugar Engineering)
• Equipment inspections, investigations and assessments.
• Troubleshooting, design and implementation projects.
• Supplier visits and contractor management.
• Preparation of technical standards and operating procedures.
• Maintenance planning and maintenance strategy studies.
• Secondments to operational and maintenance sections, including acting in managerial role, operation of equipment on shifts or performing of standby duties.
