Solar (PV) Electrician / Installer (Apprenticeship

An great opportunity has come up for a young energetic and driven individual who is passionate about PV Solar and wants to pursue a career as a Solar electrician/installer.
Minimum qualification: A grade 12
Be excited about renewable energy
Either have qualifications in the electrical or electronic field or be studying towards the completion of qualifications in either of these fields.
Demonstrate adequate aptitude to progress within the company after apprenticeship
Be a keen and committed and a fast learner who takes initiative to develop him/herself on a continuous basis
Be committed to staying up to date with new technologies and industry trends
Have a strong technical aptitude – and a history of involvement in technical projects.
Understand IT networking infrastructure
Have strong written and oral communication skills and a good telephone manner
Have high attention to detail
Have good analytical skills
Have good organisational and admin skills
Have a driver’s license
Installation of inverters, generators, and other equipment which would include strategic placement of equipment, drilling and mounting of the equipment and the wiring between elements of the system.
Troubleshooting and identifying possible faults with existing systems. Attending to breakdowns/system problems to identify and report on faults.
Being familiar with product software and hardware to enable reporting on equipment, fault finding, programming and repair work on inverters and similar equipment.
Follow up appointments with client to check on the efficiency of installed systems
