Supervisor Assembly Boilermaking

Key Accountabilities:
Lead a competent team of personnel to ensure quality conscientious work is carried out while meeting required delivery dates
Communicate and carry out production requirements with direct and indirect staff in order to achieve production targets within the prescribed time periods
Liase with technical staff regarding assemly projects as to the needs and requirements of the project to ensure smooth running from start to finish
Attend meetings from time to time with the ability to prepare and provide feedback to the Department Manager
Improve on current processes and assembly / manufacturing techniques within his / her department
Assist in the development of and formulation of written procedures
Ability to problem solve, read and understand technical drawings, use measuring equipment and have a hands-on approach to the departments work
Ensure the workforce is kept busy at all times within their assigned duties
Continuous training and development of workshop employees as per methodology
Housekeeping - Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment
Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures
Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation upholding Health and Safety Policy
Carry out regular Risk Assessments in all work areas, and delegate to respective staff memebers
Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required
Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time
Education: Qualified Artisan / Minimum N4
Experience: 5 years minimum Pump Assembly and Supervisory experience
Strong technical skills and strong Supervision Management skills
Working Knowledge and understanding of Lena manufactuirng principles
Boiler Making experience - essential
Computer Literacy - SAP essential
Ovetime as and when required
