Description

We are searching for a SALES DIRECTOR FRAGRANCE DIVISION Sub-Saharan Africa for one of the leading players in the Flavours & Fragrances Industry. The position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and reports to the Division VP.



Key result areas include: Growth; Profitability; Business Development; Customer Development; Talent development; Development of region; Promotion of the Company



The position has 15 subordinates.



Main Duties:

Regional Commercial Management:
Review Commercial targets in consultation and as per mandate of Regional VP.
Percolate the management mandate to Sales, Development & Support teams to build alignment and focus.
Develop plans to support achievement of these commercial targets.
Identification of new clients and markets
Identify and manage resources & seek buy in for any new resources with Regional VP to manage these plans.
Identify suitable partners (Agents / Distributors) to manage the tail end of the market or markets where the Company may face challenges (e.g., Geographic limitation/Forex unavailability/etc)
Periodic review of and engagement with stakeholders (internal & external) on these key targets.


Order Management & Debtor management:
Understand the complexities of Order Management cycle and support the Company and its clients towards successful order completion. Recommend customized solutions wherever necessary.
Collaborate and work in close partnership with supply chain, finance and all relevant stakeholders, thus ensuring efficient and effective assessment of customer demand and on time delivery.
Review updated rolling forecast periodically to gauge anticipated commercial performance.
Meticulously tracking the status of Outstanding and Overdue invoices in conjunction with the Finance Team.
Ensure timely collection / troubleshooting of Account Receivables.


Region Development:
In consultation with the Regional VP, identify & invest in current & future needs of the region to develop various capabilities such as Consumer Insights, Marketing, Fragrance Development, Application Lab.
Plan and implement training programmes for identified functions / candidates.
Planning & Promotion of specialized products to the identified customer basket in the region as per mandate.
Identifying platforms for promoting the Company to FMCG industry and building outreach programmes to identify talent.
Develop and manage successful stakeholder engagement both internally & externally to support the commercial and other key expectations of the region to ensure adherence to management mandate and managing customer expectations.
