PART TIME TRAINER / FACILITATOR

A retail training academy situated in Gauteng is looking to employ a part time retail trainer / facilitator.This is a part-time fixed term contract position which will run from March 2022 to November 2022, with the option for renewal annually. Training for the position will ideally commence in February 2022.The candidate needs to be flexible enough to meet the often erratic training demands of our client and be willing to travel to training venues in Gauteng and Pretoria to conduct training.Own reliable transport is essential for this role.Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will:1. Be well versed in the English language and at least one other official South African language2. Have a passion for food and food related industries.3. Have relative hands on experience in a retail food, hospitality or food services environment.4. Have a sound knowledge of HMR (convenience meals), deli meat and cheese products, as well as fresh produce.5. Have a basic understanding of Finance and Accounting in order to facilitate training programmes of this nature.6. Be a team player with a passion for the transfer of learning.7. Have strong classroom and practical training skills and be able to facilitate groups of 12 to 16 retail industry learners in a participative and positive environment.8. Manage administration duties by maintaining accurate records and effective reporting.9. Provide support to and monitor learner progress.10. Be willing to travel to conduct training and make sure that the required standards are met and maintained.11. Be willing to do on the job practical in-store / on-site training and monitoring of learners.12. Be available to work Monday to Friday, as needed, depending on the training schedule. No weekend work is required.13. An understanding of SETA, SAQA and NQF training and assessment requirements would be advantageous
