Description

An Electrical Appliance Wholesaler based in the Westrand is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their team to create graphics content as well as HTML and CSS and to assist in the design and appearance of their online content. Provide graphic design for projects, email newsletters, promotional ads, landing pages, and online marketing material. Provide production support for related websites and projects.

 

Key Performance Areas:
Creatively work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software.
Efficiently work with design briefs from start to finish while maintaining good quality standard.
Producing attractive and effective designs for all media.
Designing ad-hoc items for internal use as and when needed.
Digital: Website design, banner ads, basic animated graphics, email banners, and other digital artwork etc.
Developing of mock-up samples.
Work as part of a team and collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets.
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials. Work may involve the following but is not limited to these: Brochures, Posters, Signage, Pop-Up Stands, Broadsheets, Advertorial’s, Logos and any other CI related documents as well as provide graphic design for projects, outdoor media, email newsletters etc.
Ensure all artwork produced is in line with Brand CI in terms of layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Supporting the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
Proofreading and preparing designs for print once approved by Marketing Manager.
Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends.
 

Requirements:
Good working knowledge of the whole Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
Excellent understanding of all design processes and principles, layout and technical skills.
Strategic thinker and ability to conceptualise new ideas for campaigns.
Creative flair and a good eye for detail (including spelling and grammar).
Up to date knowledge of the latest design trends.
The motivation to maintain and improve design standards.
Online content: CSS and HTML.
