Graphic Designer / Print Assistant – Job Opportunity

We are looking for a young, reliable Graphic Designer / Print Assistant (aged 18–30) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist clients with their printing and design requirements while supporting the daily operations of the print shop.

The ideal candidate should be a well-rounded individual with strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Applicants must have done a course in the Adobe design package (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and be able to provide proof of certification, along with contactable references. Previous experience in a print shop, design environment, or retail will be advantageous. Full training will be provided on our printing, systems and processes.

• Assist customers with design and print request, queries, and product selection

• Prepare and edit print-ready artwork using Adobe design software

• Operate digital print machines, copiers, and finishing equipment

• Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, laminating, binding, folding, and packaging

• Ensure correct sizing, layout, and quality control before printing

• Handle walk-in and online clients with professionalism

• Manage email and telephonic design/print requests when required

• Process payments and basic point-of-sale transactions

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop and work areas

• Monitor stock levels of paper, ink, and consumables

• Support day-to-day shop administration and workflow processes

• Ensure all jobs meet company quality standards and deadlines

• Carry out tasks assigned by the Team Leader / Management
