Foreman/Site Manager

The successful Site Manager will have the overall responsibility for coordinating and integrating all construction activities on site, in compliance with instructions, drawings and specifications received from the Project Manager and Director as well as the development of the construction processes and procedures.
Minimum educational level:
National Diploma or Degree.
8 + years of relevant site management experience.
Must have a proven track record delivering small to medium scale projects successfully.
We require the following work experience:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction management principles.
Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Thorough knowledge of contract management and contract requirements.
Thorough understanding of project scheduling.
Good knowledge of regulatory and safety governance, focusing on site requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be appointed as the Site Manager and take associated responsibility for the safe working of the team and sub-contractors on site.
Implement and enforce all required safety checks, procedures and record-keeping.
Execute and issue daily planning for effective project execution on site in support to the Project Manager.
Planning updates and enabling the execution of daily activities to achieve project milestones.
Engage, negotiate and discuss site related issues with the client representatives in a professional and constructive manner.
Compile and issue daily and weekly diaries.
Pro-active arrangements and notifications to the Project Manager on matters impacting project execution.
Execution of site establishment and associated activities.
Sub-contractor management of contractor representatives on site, including monitoring and managing of progress in accordance with the daily planning.
Managing of site equipment to ensure effective and safe use.
