Communications Officer - Multimedia

Wits Communications Services invites dynamic, creative, energetic individuals to apply for the post of communications officer: multimedia (AD08) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
The candidate must have the ability to combine text, audio, animation, photography, and video to create informational and impactful content, across platforms. The individual is required to translate complex information and concepts into creative content using new media technologies for use across multiple platforms.
The successful individual must have the following professional skills:
Photography,
Videography,
Lighting,
Audio (ability to make podcasts),
Design, and
Editing abilities.
The practical use of Adobe Creative Suite and the development of content for the web, and traditional and social media is essential. Storytelling, illustration and animation skills are an advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent three-year qualification)
Outstanding work portfolio
Three years of relevant work experience.
Attributes
The successful candidate should be creative, energetic and self-motivated with the ability to manage campaigns, but must also have the ability to work within a team. The person must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
