Description

This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the company’s B-BBEE strategy in line with the respective legislation, B-BBEE codes, and licensing requirements. The successful candidate will need to show an in-depth understanding of B-BBEE legislation, targets, and compliance by working with multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of annual scorecards. The role requires the candidate to be highly numerate, well organized, and deadline-driven with excellent communication skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:


• Guide and support the development and implementation of a B-BBEE strategy for the organisation.
• Work with and support directors, managers, and operational B-BBEE champions in developing required plans and appropriate    strategies to achieve the target level for each reporting year
• Develop plans and targets for the different functional areas of the organisation required to report on the annual scorecard
• Identify, establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and key
stakeholders, both internal and external, across the organisation to ensure the successful delivery of required targets
• Coordinate all B-BBEE related activities:
Preferential Procurement
Employment Equity
Skills Development
Corporate Social Investment
Enterprise and Supplier Development
• Train all B-BBEE stakeholders on the relevant Codes of Good Practice.
• Implement processes and policies to ensure compliance and improvement of scores.
• Conduct mini-audits across operations.
• Develop a change management strategy based on situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
• Identify resistance and performance gaps, and develop and implement corrective actions.
• Work with marketing, training, and HR specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.
• Consistently capture and maintain accurate reporting of data through the 3rd party verification online portal.

• Manage the annual B-BBEE verifications by the appointed verification agency to ensure successful audits.
• Manage the B-BBEE scorecard scenarios required for annual planning and guidance.
• Review and analyse the monthly B-BBEE data reports and make recommendations or initiate corrective action.
• Present quarterly updates/reports to the Executive Management Team on progress.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 3 to 5 years'' experience as a BEE Compliance Office or similar role.
• Experience in Project Management: Implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Basic understanding of learnerships, internships, and graduate programmes and the link to the skills aspect of B-BBEE implementation.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite – particularly Excel.
• Strong Analytical skills with problem-solving ability.
