Artisan Boilermaker/Fitter

Introduction

3C Metal Belmet are looking for Boilermakers and Pipefitters to assemble, install and repair steel structures as required



Duties & Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings and sketches to establish required dimensions to be marked on materials and assembled products;
Marking off and cutting materials using the oxy-acetylene cutting toch, plasma torch, angle grinders, guilotines, band saws, pipe cutters and other cutting tools and equipment
Develop, mark out, bend, and roll using parallel lines, radial lines, triangulation and spiral developments
Preparation of of materials (pipes and plates) for assembling by rolling, bending, chamfering of weld preps, drilling and punching
Assembling together prepared metal components by by manual arc welding and bolting
Fabrication, repair, and maintenance of steel structures
Knowledge and use of most hand tools, portable power tools, pneumatic tools, pipe and plate bending machines (manual and hydraulic)
Proper and safe use of lifting machinery and equipment such as overhead cranes, chain blocks, chain pullers, slings, shackles and lifting spreader beams and lugs
