Brief description of duties:
The candidate will work in both the Commercial and Conveyancing Department of a well-established law firm.
Preference will be given to candidates that have completed a course in any of the above fields of expertise.
The candidate will attend to a wide range of duties which shall include, but not be limited to, consulting with clients, attending to junior conveyancing functions associated with the department, drafting of contracts, signing of transfer and bond documents with clients, drafting of conveyancing documents and general duties expected from an attorney / conveyancer. The candidate will be required to work independently but also as part of a team and will report to the head of department and / or the managing director.

Qualifications

4-year Law Degree, Admitted as Attorney and Conveyancer.

Skills

Stable work record. Preference will be given to the following candidates: BCom Law graduates. Previous experience in commercial law and drafting of contracts, Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (spoken as well as written language), Be a multi-tasker, diligent, be able to work independently and have excellent management skills. Have a passion for the law and commerce.
