MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Sc. Agric (Horticulture/Genetics) or Ph.D. (Horticulture/Breeding) or related agricultural qualification
Minimum 5 years experience in agriculture production / research / breeding
Experience in plant breeding (traditional and/or molecular), with a keen focus on fruit production
Drivers license
KNOWLEDGE
Breeding and Horticulture principles
Knowledge of traditional breeding protocols
Understanding of molecular approaches with regards to plant material improvement
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
Computer literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel & Power Point)
Financial and Human relations principles
Health and Safety principles
SKILLS
Ability to work independently
Presentation and scientific report writing
Financial budget management
Planning and Organising
Ability to manage technical team
Excellent research skills
Good communication skills
Technical and Analytical skills
