SHIFT DISPATCH / RIPENING CENTRE MANAGER

KWA-NATAL BANANA COMPANY (PTY) LTD. POSITION VACANT: SHIFT DISPATCH / RIPENING CENTRE MANAGER (SALARY R21 PA PLUS MERIT BONUS) APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED PERSONS WHO ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGING POSITION. REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE FACTORY MANAGER. THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING, INTER-ALIA: Duties: You will be required but not limited to: 1. Manage a staff compliment of 16 persons that report directly to you. (Full function: – Attendance Register, Duty rosters, Leave planning and HR) 2.Meet Production targets and control stock ensuring adequate accurate stock levels are always maintained. 3. Perform regular stock checks at the company and farm packsheds. 4.Coordinate the daily collection of produce from our producers. 5.Manage the ripening process of the banana ripening rooms, ensuring that the bananas are ripened to specific requirements. 6. Coordinate the delivery of produce and stock as required by our customers and agents. 7.Coordinate the return of company stock from our customers and agents. 8.Data Capture, Filing, Memo Writing, General Office Duties. 9.Generator checks, Truck checks, Diesel Tank Management, Fruit Inspections, Adhoc Maintenance. Working Hours: The company`s normal working hours are 07h00 to 15h30 Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the enterprise, you will be expected to work outside of the normal hours and your starting and ending times will be determined by the workload and delivery schedule of the day. You will additionally be required to work on alternate weekends and on Public Holidays. Fundamental Requirements: 1. You must be able to start morning shift at 04:00am and end as late as ±21:00pm on evening shift. 2.You must have at least five years` experience in a similar position.
