General Details
Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to manage and oversee the streetlighting construction project in North West province. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical engineering and streetlighting projects, with proven experience in managing on-site construction activities and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities related to the streetlighting project.
Ensure the project is executed as per the agreed schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Liaise with the project manager and other stakeholders to update on the project's progress and address any issues.
Team Management:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the construction team including contractors, engineers, and laborers.
Provide guidance, training, and support to site personnel as necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, local authorities, and other external stakeholders.
Attend meetings, provide updates, and address any concerns or queries from stakeholders.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, ensuring that any identified risks are mitigated promptly.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used in the project.
Coordinate with quality control teams and implement corrective actions when required.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate site diaries, logbooks, and other project-related documents.
Submit regular progress reports to the higher management.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field. Registration with SACPCMP as PrCM or ECSA as PrEng or PrTechEng: Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of experience in streetlighting or similar construction projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive problem solver with attention to detail.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel as required.
