Health Lead At Bp Gauteng Rosebank-Bp South AfricaHealth Lead At Bp Southern Africa Gauteng RosebankJob Title Health Lead At Bp Southern AfricaDescription Health Lead At Bp Southern Africa Gauteng Rosebank Job Title Health Lead At Bp Southern Africa Gauteng RosebankDescription* The Health Lead / Director is responsible for implementation of the occupational hygiene process and managing health risks across the organisation's workforce by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and taking actions to minimise adverse impacts.* Provide leadership and strategic oversight on all occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, public health, and environmental health matters in the RPU/SPU in addition to promoting health and wellbeing* Ensure that regional businesses /entities health risks (including public, environmental, and occupational) are systematically identified, assessed, and managed in conformance with BP requirements (such as GDPs and Risk Action Plans) and in compliance with regulatory requirements and appropriate industry standards.* Provide verification that the health-related essentials of OMS are being met and are fully auditable through the development of health assurance processes and programs to verify consistency with effectiveness of and conformance with OMS.* Serve as an advocate for and raise visibility of Health and its value to the business while raising the profile of Health Risks adopting and sharing best practices, common processes, and tools.In particular he/she must ensure that:* The organisation's health strategy is in line with the Safety and Operations by focusing on plant, processes, people, and performance (4Ps).* The organisation does its business in a way that does not harm or endanger the health of employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, or community neighbours.* Standardisation is provided across the organisation to enable the company to monitor the health of its workforce by identifying, quantifying, and controlling environmental agents that may affect the health of the workforce.* Works with dedicated health professionals, including industrial hygienists, toxicologists, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, ergonomists, and many other specialists / key players in delivering work to the business and functions at every level. Thus, addressing requirements for compliance, capability, consistency, and communication.* Focus is on health performance by creating performance measures, having periodic reviews, conduct training and coaching to optimise results or to effect consequences where needed* Meets global health requirements OMS 3.4. in the implementation and management of occupational health programme.* Develops and implements occupational health projects and services* Establishes and leads global health / wellness promotion network for bp on behalf of Vice President for Health.* Positions the occupational health unit to an acceptable level of capability and capacity in line with the GDP strategy and to meet the busines
