Electrical Panel Wireman

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and wiring electrical panels according to engineering specifications and safety standards. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

*Responsibilities:*

1. Read and interpret engineering drawings, and schematics to understand wiring requirements.

2. Measure, cut, and strip wires to appropriate lengths, ensuring accuracy and precision.

3. Install and mount electrical components, such as circuit breakers, switches, and relays, onto panels.

4. Connect wires and components using various methods, including soldering, crimping, and terminal blocks.

5. Test and troubleshoot panels to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.

6. Inspect panels for defects, damage, or irregularities, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

7. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

8. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools, equipment, and materials.

10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency in panel assembly processes.

*Requirements:*

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in electrical wiring is preferred.

2. Proven experience as an electrical panel wireman or similar role, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.

3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and schematics.

4. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

5. Excellent attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting, and connecting wires.

6. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues.

7. Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, with a commitment to compliance and safety.

8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

9. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in electrical panel assembly.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

- Certification as an electrician or electrical technician.

- Previous experience working in manufacturing or industrial settings.

- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software for electrical layouts and schematics.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
