Description
Minimum Requirements & Experience
- Qualified Millwright (Trade Tested Red Seal)
- Minimum 35 years experience on a process / mineral processing plant (tailings, chrome, base metals or similar advantageous)
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability
- Proven experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, mills, screens, and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Valid drivers licence
- Medically fit for site-based work
- Willingness to work full-time on site in Rustenburg
- Previous exposure to tailings or flotation plants
- Experience with plant installations, shutdowns, or commissioning
- Basic PLC fault-finding exposure (advantageous, not essential)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on process plant equipment
- Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal plant availability
- Maintain and repair motors, MCCs, panels, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated plant equipment
- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
- Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and commissioning activities
- Ensure strict compliance with MHSA, site safety standards, and maintenance procedures
- Accurately complete maintenance reports and job cards
