Lodge Maintenance Assistant

Our client operates within the conservation and tourism sector, providing services and infrastructure to support a game reserve environment. The team is focused on maintaining facilities and ensuring a safe and well-kept environment for staff and visitors.

The maintenance assistant will be responsible for a range of construction, maintenance, and general labour tasks. This includes building repairs, painting, tilling, and operating machinery where required. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building and construction tasks
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of facilities
• Painting and finishing work as required
• Tilling and preparing grounds for landscaping or agricultural purposes
• Operate tractors and other light machinery
• Assist with general labour duties around the reserve
• Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly
• Follow safety procedures while working on-site
• Support team with ad-hoc maintenance projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in building, maintenance, or general labour
• Ability to drive a tractor (Non-Negotiable)
• Valid Code B drivers license
• Skilled in painting, tilling and maintenance work.

Remuneration:
Basic Salary: R7,500R8,000 monthly
Accommodation: Onsite - Unfurnished accommodation.
