Description
Our client, a visionary in redefining urban living through sustainable practices, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor join their team.As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be ensuring that the properties operate seamlessly, working closely with a team of property coordinators and reporting directly to our Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations.
Mentor and guide our team of property coordinators to achieve peak performance.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring top-notch service delivery.
Assist in budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to uphold safety standards and minimize downtime.
Lead emergency response efforts and coordinate resources for swift resolutions.
Collaborate with contractors, tenants, and the Facilities Manager to plan and execute maintenance tasks.
Maintain meticulous documentation and generate insightful reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster positive tenant relationships by addressing maintenance concerns promptly.
Requirements:
5+ years of proven maintenance management experience in property or real estate.
Diploma in a related field.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Proficiency in building systems, regulatory requirements, and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with ticketing systems and Google products.
Comfortable working in a small team, open office, and remote settings.
Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

*What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)*
You will design all the mechanical aspects for automated machinery and systems, according to your client’s specifications and the company standards. You will compile assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings according to manufacturing standards.
You will also compile part specifications, bill of materials, production orders and manuals, issuing revisions and updating the manufacturing drawings, material lists and machine manuals where need be.
You will offer technical support during the manufacturing process, where your designs will be assembled into fully operational automated manufacturing machinery. You may also be required to offer support to fellow technicians who are required to assemble the machine on your client’s premises.
*Where you’ll be doing it*
Your new employer is an international player in the automation space. You will be based at their highly technologically advanced plant in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will work a normal day shift and go home early on a Friday!
You will be working with a group of people who are very big on teamwork and team building, continuously helping each other and supporting each other through the good times and the bad times.
*What you’ll need*
Your National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years’ experience in machine design and manufacturing, with 2 years 2D and 3D CAD experience will see you qualify for this position.
You have the ability to travel nationally and internationally. You work well independently and within a team and you have a self-motivated and positive attitude.
