Mid-level Network Engineer

Converged Group is currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified *Mid-level Network Engineer* to join our dynamic team. * Handle day to day programming of CPE devices * Handle day to day changes on CPE and customer networks and firewalls * Handle scoping, prepping , deployment and install of Network and firewall equipment * Handle the in-office IT requirements * Will eventually, as skills improve be brought into working on our National Fibre/L2 carrier network * Will eventually, as skills improve be brought into working on Core network in datacentres * General Administration on keeping Documents with network and programming up to date * Matric * Preferably have done N+ course * Have a good understanding of network topologies and vlans * Should have an understanding of Programming switches in the command line * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail * High level of pride in work and need to be able to do need and tidy work when it comes to patching and cabling requirements * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Skills needed:* * An ability to work quickly and accurately * A can-do attitude and willing to google and learn using online material * To be honest, discreet, and trustworthy * Commitment to working efficiently and accurately and willing to put in time afterhours to upskill and practice new skills learned * Having knowledge of Mikrotik and Firewalls will be an advantage * Having knowledge of Carrier, Core ISP and BGP networks will be an advantage * For advanced skills required, we will look at appropriate training courses either official online or class room training Market related * Matric * Preferably have done N+ course * Have a good understanding of network topologies and vlans * Should have an understanding of Programming switches in the command line * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail * High level of pride in work and need to be able to do need and tidy work when it comes to patching and cabling requirements * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Skills needed:* * An ability to work quickly and accurately * A can-do attitude and willing to google and learn using online material * To be honest, discreet, and trustworthy * Commitment to working efficiently and accurately and willing to put in time afterhours to upskill and practice new skills learned * Having knowledge of Mikrotik and Firewalls will be an advantage * Having knowledge of Carrier, Core ISP and BGP networks will be an advantage * For advanced skills required, we will look at appropriate training courses either official online or class room training
