Experience:
- Minimum 15 yearsâ?? experience in the Engineering industry
- Welding Expertise
- Line Boring Expertise
- CNC Milling and Turning Expertise:Â Managing CNC machining operations, including programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling and turning machines.Â
- Proficiency in operating different types of lathes (manual, CNC), understanding their functions, and performing routine maintenance
- EDGECAM Proficiency:Â Strong understanding of EDGECAM software and its application in CNC programming.Â
- Problem-Solving:Â Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Â
- Leadership and Communication:Â Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Â
- Mechanical Engineering Knowledge:Â A mechanical engineering qualification is preferred.Â
- Safety Awareness:Â Strong understanding and commitment to safety protocols.Â
- Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and meets customer specifications.
- Production Planning and Scheduling:Â Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
- Quality Control: Enforce quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues to ensure work meets the highest standards. The company is ISO regulated.
- Team Leadership:Â Lead and motivate a team to meet ETAs while still adhering to quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all workshop machinery, including CNC machines, line boring equipment, and other tools. Ensure all equipment is safe, in good working order, and properly stored when not in use.Â
- Resource Management:Â Manage workshop resources effectively, including materials, tools, and personnel, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.Â
- Safety:Â Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.Â
- Communication and Collaboration:Â Maintain clear communication channels with all team members, as well as with other departments and clients, regarding project status, updates, and any issues that arise.Â
- Cost Management:Â Identify opportunities for cost reduction.Â
- Process Optimisation:Â Identify areas for improvement in workshop processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
