Mechanical Design Draughtsman - Germiston Area

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Ability to understand and produce technical drawings.
• Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD drawing packages.
• A proven track record in a similar environment.
• Ability to manage and schedule drawing projects to meet delivery dates.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Inventor.
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Advantegeous)
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform simple mechanical calculations.
• Computer literacy in MS Office packages.
• Experience with ERP/BOM systems would be an advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Design and draught General Arrangement and shop detail drawings to specification.
• Engage with sales on customer requirements.
• Liaise with production and sales teams.
• Modify and revise designs to resolve and minimize production issues.
• Generate and verify BOMs for drawings produced.
• Provide general drawing office assistance.
