Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines
- Produce precision components according to engineering drawings
- Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various CNC machines
- Interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Select machining strategies and tooling
- Perform machine setup and monitoring
- Conduct in-process inspections
- Use precision measuring instruments
- Maintain machine cleanliness
- Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards
- Report any faults or deviations
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Competent in precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Advantageous Skills & Experience:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
- Exposure to various materials
- Knowledge of tooling selection
- Previous high-precision engineering experience
Personal Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Team-oriented and proactive
