Cash Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Cash Supervisor to join a leading automotive aftermarket parts wholesale and distribution organisation at Head Office in Eastrand, responsible for managing cash and bank processes, safeguarding financial controls, and overseeing the cash division within the Finance department.

Duties:

• Advanced knowledge of cash and bank processes.
• Advanced knowledge of the financial controls’ principles and requirements.
• Solid knowledge of the SA tax legislation.
• Solid knowledge of the FICA, POPI and other applicable legislation frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of the creditors and debtors’ processes.
• Solid knowledge of the GL reconciliation process.
• Basic knowledge of the IFRS framework.
• Solid knowledge of the Forex cash operations.
• Advanced knowledge of all SA banking platforms (business online, investments, Forex trading).
• Solid knowledge of the treasury related processes.
• Advanced data reconciliation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of the retail cash operations.
• Understanding financial cycles, deadlines and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Able to provide leadership and guidance to the team.
• Ability to build relationships and network.
• Analytical skills.
• Advanced technical skills applicable to the area of responsibility.
• Advanced IT and data skills applicable to the area of responsibility.

Requirements:

• BCom degree or equivalent NQF level (7) qualification in Commerce or Finance.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within mixed retail/wholesale environment.
• Motor industry experience is an advantage.
• Syspro experience is an advantage.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clear criminal record.

• Implement and manage various banking solutions.
• Daily cash processing, management and reconciliations.
• Daily cash reporting and cash flow management.
• Cash investigations.
• Month end closure management within the area of responsibility.
• Team management within the area of responsibility.
• Assisting various divisions within Finance department when required.
