General Details
Description
- Process all sundry invoices and reconcile debtor accounts, following up on any queries weekly.
- Provide assistance at reception by greeting clients professionally and directing calls appropriately.
- Perform general filing and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Allocate all DICs to the correct accounts and complete monthly reconciliations of finance-related products, warranties, and maintenance items.
- Investigate and resolve small outstanding or overpaid amounts on debtor accounts daily.
- Maintain accurate debtor and creditor records and resolve outstanding issues with management.
- Process EFT payments, ensuring all creditors are loaded correctly with supporting documentation and payments are released on time.
- Follow up daily on documentation after settlements have been completed.
- Verify settlement packs for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage petty cash, ensuring slips are collected within two days of issuing funds.
- Complete monthly petty cash reconciliations and obtain sign-off from the Financial Manager.
- Conduct credit reference checks within one day of receiving credit applications.
- Follow up on credit applications daily until finalized (maximum turnaround time of 5 days).
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and completed within deadlines.
- Assist with creditor functions and stock control processes.
- Support the Manager with any accounting-related tasks as required.
- Maintain effective collaboration across departments.
