Credit Controller

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Certificate or Diploma in Credit Management, or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Credit Management role

Key Responsibilities

• Collect outstanding amounts on the debtors book
• Reconcile customer accounts as required
• Reconcile all control accounts
• Prepare and process credit and debit notes
• Prepare and post journals
• Conduct credit vetting in line with company policy
• Obtain and verify trade references
• Follow up on and resolve account queries
• Perform inter-branch reconciliations and confirmations
• Import debit order files
• Process new and cancelled debit orders daily
• Daily coding and printing of EFTs from the bank
• Perform monthly checks on returned debit orders
• Manage client portals, including loading of invoices
• Update and maintain accurate customer information (data clean-up)
• Provide regular feedback on overdue accounts
• Adhere to strict deadlines for month-end and monthly reporting
