 Job Opening: Manual Lathe Operator (Fitter & Turner)
 Location: Stikland, Cape Town

We are seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Operator (Fitter & Turner) to join our workshop team in Stikland, Cape Town. This position is available immediately.

Working Hours:
 Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 16:45 (Fridays til 15:00)
 Overtime may be required thereafter, depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a manual lathe to manufacture and repair precision components.

• Perform turning, threading, boring, drilling, and other machining tasks.

• Accurately measure, mark, and set up workpieces according to specifications.

• Work with steel and plastics to exact tolerances.

• Assist with disassembly and reassembly of components when machining is required.

• Ensure quality workmanship and adhere to safety standards at all times.

• Perform duties independently without the need for supervision.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Manual Lathe Operator / Fitter & Turner.

• Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and surface finishes.

• Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.

• Welding knowledge would be advantageous.

• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work unsupervised.
