1971 Fiat Dino 2400 Coupe

• Fiat produced the Dino sports car between 1966 and 1973.
• It had rear-wheel drive and a front engine.
• The name "Dino" is derived from the Ferrari Dino V6 engine used in the car for Formula 2 racing.
• In 1967, F2 engines required six cylinders and a production of at least 500 examples within 12 months.
• Fiat and Ferrari reached an agreement for Fiat to produce the 500 engines needed for compliance.
• The Dino 2400 Coupe, originally silver-blue, was spray-painted Ferrari Giallo (yellow) by the current owner.
• The car underwent a fuel system overhaul, as well as upgrades to the brakes and cooling system.
• Only a few Dino 2400 Coupes are left in South Africa.
