Au pair services

I would like to introduce myself as an Au pair young at heart and fit granny, who cares for kiddies as if they are my own grandchildren and on top of that I am a qualified Staff nurse. I am available for flexible hours as I have no dependents. My motto is supplying a safe, fun and loving environment in which babies and/or toddlers or bigger children can flourish. I encourage outdoor activities, doing crafts daily and see to their diets by providing healthy , tasty food. I have my own vehicle, drivers licence and am a South African citizen, 7 years in the Western Cape.

During the past few years I have had Au pair positions as the opportunities arose for children ranging from the ages of 2 months to 10 years old and enjoyed it immensely. It was a privilege to assist Mommy's that had to return to work with their infants as young as two months and assist a 10 year old to join the main stream schooling system after being absent for extended period, I am proud to say my boy joined a school and passed all his subjects with flying colours. He also adjusted to his new surroundings and I still granny sit him and we love spending time together.

Together with the family we make the transition as smoothly and as easy as possible for everybody involved. With my babies Mommy and I go through sleep regression, physical, mental development by stimulating movement, assessing goals reached and just overall enjoying seeing baby blossom in a peaceful, safe environment, this included a lot of time outdoors. Regular daily reporting and videos to put Mommy's mind at ease and notification of signs of being unwell, such as high temperature, rashes, little one feeling discomfort and tell tale signs of e.g. ear ache, colic, regular outputs etc. Administering medication only on Doctor's prescription and Mommy's knowledge. Got little one ready for bed, bathing and feeding if and when so wishes, so Mommy could relax and have a few hours to spend quality time with baby in the evening. I am a qualified Staff nurse, responsible, caring person and young at heart and fairly fit, doing hiking trails, swimming and being in nature. I qualified as a Staff nurse at Ann Latsky College at Willem Cruywagen Hospital and nursed for 4 years. I joined the Recruitment Industry, but returned to do nursing as a carer for elderly Mrs. Jansen van Rensburg, Mrs. Joubert’s 82 for more than 10 years and became part of the family. See reference.
