Only 89 Big Window Syncros were manufactured worldwide, making them an extremely valuable collector's item. Today, Syncro T3s are highly sought after, not only for their rarity but also for their chunky, tough-as-nails appearance, and many Syncro fans around the world that adore these vehicles. This Syncro has the standard 2.1 engine that was completely overhauled by Andreno Engine Rebuilders in Villiersdorp at a cost of R 28 716 and has only done 15 821 km since the overhaul. Other items that were simultaneously replaced included the radiator, water pump, water bottle and water level switch, fan switch, oil cooler hoses, piping, antifreeze, fan belts, oil and oil filter, etc. The gearbox was also fully reconditioned with splash plates fitted. The drive train, including the engine, gearbox, front differential and viscous coupling, front and rear side shafts / CV Axles, as well as the drive shaft and front and rear diff locks, is fully functional.
