Welcome to L & A Motor Works, also trading at Liberty Mobile mechanic. Where we offer a full suite of services, from an oil change, to a complete engine rebuild from our certified mechanics.
With over 15 years experience in the Mobile Mechanic space, our services are first class as is evident from our reviews. We believe in 3 basic rules, 1. We make sure that what we are dealing with is the cause of the issues and not something the client hasn't asked us to look into, unless its related to the issue. 2. We are budget friendly and stick to the quote we give our client. And 3. We do quality work with quality parts that will last, but not break the bank. That's why we dont fit wear and tear items that are not of a suitable quality. If a clients budget cant afford quality components and would rather fit parts of lower quality, we will do so but only if the client requests this! And is aware or the likelihood that the part will fail prematurely, we wont do this on critical equipment parts though because this could result in a dangerous situation that could become life threatening when replacing qualityparys with cheap and badly constructed parts. As a rule we buy and supply quality parts meant for the vehicle we are working on. We work on all types of vehicles, diesel and petrol, imports and local. From Toyotas to Jaguars. But we specialize in older cars out of warranty like Audi A3, A4, A6, e.x..
BMWs (we just replaced windshield washer motors on a 2016 BMW (some have 2 separate motors, one for the headlights and the other for the windshield), client first took the car to a (big name Auto center) and was told it would take 3 days, we did it in 3 hours. Saving the client thousands of Rands.
Due to how we schedule our work, its rare that we cant fix a car the same day. This only happens if the wrong parts were ordered by the client, so we suggest that we sorce the parts (we dont mark up parts) before fitting them. This way we know the right parts are used. We have a large network of parts suppliers, and we get better prices than the general public.
We understand that needing work done on a person's vehicle isnt a good feeling but you can be assured that we will work within your budget to get you back on the road, without cutting corners.
On average our services cost around 1/3 of other workshops and our quality or work is better and we are more reliable than most others. This is according to our clients, as we haven't had a single client that had a bad experience with our services, so you can rest assured that we will take care of your vehicle as if it were one of our own. If we cannot fix the problem at your residence, we have a fully equipped workshop, we also have state of the art Diagnostic Equipment that communicates with your cars ECU, to diagnose exactly what the problem is and how severe the issue is. This is a free service and falls under the call out fee.
Any part we cannot fix, we send out to specialists in our network, for example a Turbo issue is something a Turbo specialist specializes in. Once the part is fixed, then we will reinstall it. Same with an ECU problem, this is another part we send out to a specialist that only deals in ECUs. So for any questions please either call or
