Description

Our company requires a farm manager who will have the below mentioned responsibilities.

  1. Crop and Livestock Management:
    • Planning, organizing, and supervising the planting, cultivation, harvesting, and storage of crops.
    • Managing livestock operations including feeding, breeding, health care, and overall welfare.
    • Implementing best practices for soil management, irrigation, pest control, and fertilization.
    • Monitoring weather conditions and adapting farming practices accordingly to optimize yield and quality.
  2. Equipment and Facilities Management:
    • Maintaining and ensuring proper usage of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
    • Ensuring that all machinery and facilities meet safety standards and regulations.
    • Managing inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, and coordinating procurement when necessary.
  3. Financial Management:
    • Implementing cost-saving measures and optimizing resource utilization to maximize profitability.
  4. Personnel Management:
    • Training, and supervising farm workers and laborers.
    • Assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
    • Providing leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
    • Conducting performance evaluations and addressing any disciplinary issues as needed.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensuring compliance with local regulations related to agriculture, labor, safety, and environmental protection.
    • Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and implementing necessary adjustments to farm practices and procedures.
  6. Record Keeping and Reporting:
    • Maintaining accurate records of crop yields, livestock inventory, and other relevant data.
    • Generating reports on farm performance and productivity
  7. Strategic Planning and Decision Making:
    • Developing and implementing short-term and long-term plans for farm operations, growth, and diversification.
    • Identifying opportunities for expansion, diversification, or improvement and making recommendations to farm owners.
All applicants must possess a combination of agricultural expertise, business acumen, leadership skills, and regulatory knowledge to effectively manage all aspects of farm operations and ensure its success and sustainability.
