Description
Ramsay Media (Pty) Ltd is SA's largest independent magazine and digital publishing company responsible for some of the country's best-performing titles. We are currently looking for an editorial intern for our Getaway Magazine.
The successful candidate will be exposed to:
Generating story ideas daily
Assist with fact-checking of stories
Assist with editorial tasks
Keeping abreast of current affairs
Manage social media channels when necessary
Attends events when required
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in English and/or journalism
Proficiency in Photoshop, WordPress CMS and a Mac operating system
Excellent writing, copy-editing and organisational skills
Able to work accurately under deadline pressure and willing to work overtime when necessary
Work experience in the media industry is an advantage

• Manage the Hootsuite team and improving the Pages overall response rates and time
• Conceptualisation of content ideas; optimising organic content for engagement across the social media accounts
• Report: Analyse the Companys social media organic performance, define targets and report on results Soft skills:

• Strong copywriting, proofing and editing skills
