Payroll Admin - Temp

If payroll accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality are your strengths, this role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of end-to-end payroll administration within a professional, deadline-driven environment.

This is a fixed term 5-month contract based in Midrand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full payroll lifecycle for monthly salaried employees
• Load and process new hires, terminations, and employee changes
• Maintain accurate employee master data (banking details, IDs, personal information)
• Process maternity leave, including calculations and UI19 submissions
• Administer all payroll deductions (garnishees, staff debtors, etc.)
• Process expense claims via payroll
• Reconcile payroll outputs, including company reconciliations and remuneration lists
• Handle and resolve payroll-related queries professionally and timeously
• Ensure payroll activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and legislation
• Maintain strict confidentiality and employee trust
• Contribute positively to overall team effectiveness and collaboration

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Grade 12
• Payroll Diploma (advantageous)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll environment
• Qualified Sage 300 People Payroll Administrator
• Strong advanced Excel skills, particularly VLOOKUP
• Working knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Labour Relations Act
