Description
A well-established construction group is seeking an experienced Cashbook / Creditors Clerk to join its finance team. This is a newly created role and is ideal for a confident, detail-driven individual who can take full ownership of the banking and payment cycle in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full management of the banking cycle, including accurate postings to the general ledger
- Processing and control of high volumes of daily payments
- Oversight of all banking administration functions, requiring persistence and strong follow-through
- Creditors processing, reconciliations, and payment controls
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and that deadlines are consistently met
- Working closely with senior management during the initial phase of the role
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Completed finance qualification
- Approximately 10 years experience in a similar commercial cashbook / creditors role
- Proven creditors experience in a high-volume payment environment (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with a resilient, assertive personality
- Solid Excel skills
- Experience with BuildSmart or similar construction accounting systems would be advantageous
