- Perform general ledger reconciliations
- Process payments and manage creditors
- Handle petty cash and ensure accurate recording
- Manage and reconcile stock
- Capture and maintain financial data on an ERP system
- Work on Sage accounting system
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial processes
- 35 years proven experience in a bookkeeping role
- Strong experience with general ledger reconciliations
- Experience in processing payments, petty cash, and stock control
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system, specifically Sage
- Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

This is a live-in position.
A well-established lodge in Alicedale is looking for a hands-on Accounts Assistant to support the Financial Manager. The ideal candidate will help ensure all monthly accounting tasks are accurate, up to date, and ready for handover to our Bookkeepers.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance
* Strong knowledge of VAT (input and output)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Self-motivated and results-driven
Hospitality experience will be an absolute advantage. Min 3 years Bookkeeping exp.
