Stilbaai is on the banks of the picturesque Goukou River and is famous for its wonderful beaches. Walk alongside the beach to shell middens left by prehistoric peoples and view ancient stone fish traps that are still in use. There is also a eel hole you can visit. Nature reserves nearby. Well stocked grocery stores. Lovely for surfing the waves and swimming and water skiing in the river. Excellent for cycling.Comprehensive sporting amenities ranging from a nine-hole golf course, two bowling greens, tennis and squash courts in conjunction with the mild climatic conditions and low rainfall.
