Purpose of PositionThe primary function of the boilermaker is to ensure that fabrication shop provides fabrications services to the fleet and ready mix batching plants, specifically: Fabrication of new chutes and drums for trucksAssisting mechanic with the welding for fleetFabrication of structures for batching plantsEnsuring work is carried out in accordance with safe work procedures, and that the correct PPE is worn for work being carried out.Ability to do vertical up and down WeldingAbility to use Cutting torchAbility to use hand tools, eg, GrinderMeasuring of steel platesCutting Steel according to size Requirements: At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (welding and fabricating)Responsibility:This position is at our Umtata batch plant in Transkei and the candidates must be willing to relocate/stay in that region.
