Our client is a prominent supplier of raw chemicals and chemical solutions, catering to diverse industries, ranging from manufacturing to agriculture. We are currently in search of a Sales Representative for our Cape Town team, who possesses a robust technical background and exceptional communication skills. This Sales Representative, specializing in Raw Chemicals, will play a pivotal role in not only identifying and cultivating new business opportunities but also in nurturing and expanding relationships with our existing clients. A local trader dealing in top-quality raw chemical materials, serving the food, industrial, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors, is looking for a dynamic Sales Representative. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' sales experience in related sectors and must have their own transportation. This position is based in the Cape Town region.
Requirements:
- Gr12/Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Excellent Communication skills
- Own Transport
- Valid Driver's License
- Chemical Sales Experience – 2 to 5 years (Industry related)
- Goal and target driven.
Duties:
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
- Contact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs.
- Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
- Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to purchased products.
- Attend sales or trade meetings or read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, environmental regulations, or industry developments.
- Identify prospective customers, using business directories, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, or trade show or conference attendance.
- Quote prices, credit terms
- Visit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales.
- Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications.
- Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements.
- Emphasize product features, based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
- Verify that delivery schedules meet project deadlines.
- Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Advise customers on product usage to improve production.
- Maintain customer records, using automated systems.
