Unit Manager Cardiac ICU Unit- Registered Nurse

LetsLink Recruitment is assisting a Private Hospital based in Centurion Gauteng to employ a Unit Manager to manage the Cardiac ICU Unit. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational performance and patient care in the unit.  Effectively supervise and direct all activities in the unit whilst adhering to the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of the organization and the hospital. 

Key work output and accountabilities: 

• Management and supervision of staff 
• Management of Patient Care 
• Effective communication, including liaising with doctors/specialists, hospital management, staff patients and their family
• Cost Centre Management, which includes control of equipment and stock in the unit
• In-service training management 
• Ensure high nursing standards 
• Skills, experience and education: 
• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse 
• Degree/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing is essential
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience in an ICU Unit 
• Experience Cardiac ICU Unit is essential 
• A minimum of 2-4 years experience in a managerial/shift leader position with a proven track record 
• Intermediate level of Computer proficiency
• 2 or more years experience in a private hospital 
• Experience in clinical leadership
