Artisan Fitter C2- (Extraction)

• Matric plus N4 (Mechanical Engineering)
• Completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
• A recognized Trade Test certificate, Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
• At least 5 to 8 years heavy industrial fitting experience.
• A good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• A specific knowledge of Front-End Equipment (dewatering mills & carriers).
• Good fault-finding / problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams.
• A good understanding of the principles and techniques associated with condition based monitoring and modern alignment.
• Computer literate & conversant with planned maintenance system will be an added advantage.
• Sugar Mill experience will be an added advantage.
• Rigging experience.
• Turning/Welding

Key Focus Area:

• Carry out plant inspections and schedules as per scheduled maintenance manual
• Carry out maintenance, overhauls gearboxes, pumps, centrifugals, fans, repairs on hydraulic etc.
• Perform Project work, such as installation of conveyors when required.
• Carry out fault finding on pneumatic systems.
