Process Engineer

Reputable company based in Pietermaritzburg is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their team!

The Responsibilities Will Be as Follows:
Ensure all production batches are good – within the desired process parameters
Daily sign off each production batch prior to release
Identify and correct the root cause of any deviation in the process which caused lost or poor-quality parts
Own the investigation and feedback on any customer queries on identified poor quality parts
Own the die machine setup (variable setup) per product type and update these as identified during continuous improvement investigations
Lead all continuous improvement investigations together with the tooling design and simulation engineer
Own the accuracy in metallurgy of the process by making use of the quality assurance team
Ensure all supporting infrastructure are performing sufficiently to ensure accurate process parameters at the production machine
Report on process deviations weekly with corrective actions against each item
Participate in investigations into new technology, new methods, new failure methods as part of continuous improvement
 

Minimum Requirements:
Engineering Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Industrial Engineering
Strong production process data analysis ability (process variables)
Proven track record in managing production machinery or production processes
Proven technical track record and ability
Proven skills in technical problem solving
Proven ability to solve manufacturing challenges with a team
Proven leadership ability in a technical environment
