Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Service, You will be responsible for providing customers with professional technical "Smart" product repair support on all "Smart" products. This position will coordinate and work closely with the Local Service Support Teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical "Smart" service support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on all Equipment.
Fault finding/repair on all Valve products (Smart specific)
Liaise with customers to determine their needs and problem areas
Provide technical support, and training on all Smart Products and Smart applications to customers
Preparation of documentation for customers on service work/reports on Smart products
Perform field surveys/audits Smart products
Promote service/sales in the respective regions Durban, Gauteng, and Africa.
Administrate, and liaise with local government approved inspection authority, to supply new certification, and renew approved local certification on all Smart products as required by customers
Qualifications
Trade Test Instrumentation (Red Seal)
Minimum N3 Engineering
Skills
5+ years'''' post apprenticeship experience
Experience and training on DCS/Fail-Safe control systems and PLC''''s and the integration to control valves/emergency shutdown valves and on-off valves
Knowledge of Fieldbus (Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus and Hart) communication protocols
OHS Training and understanding
Hazardous Area Classification
Valid South African code EB drivers license
