Millwright Line Operator - Johannesburg Gauteng



Purpose of Position:



Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Millwright, recently qualified, having completed your Apprenticeship program, for a permanent position in Sedibeng, Gauteng. The purpose of this position is for the action of operational processes on the LSD and SSD mechanical lines to ensure quality finished goods are released to the customer on time and in full. The successful candidate will report to the LSD Team Leader. Salary market related depending on experience and industry skillset, starting from R8000.00 per month.

Minimum Requirements :


Matric (Standard 10) or recognized equivalent qualification
Relevant Trade as a Millwright is essential
Numeracy, Literacy and technical aptitude assessment (60% pass mark)
Minimum 2 years experience within a Manufacturing / production related facility.
Must understand LEAN principles, and have mechanical engineering expertise.
Exposure in manufacturing environment, limited-slip differential, small surface depression
Exposure to world class manufacturing techniques like Lean Manufacturing would be an added advantage
Located in Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging or surrounding areas in the Sedibeng Area
Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing to external and internal customers


Duties:


Effective time management skills to ensure production is released on time and in full to the receiving
department.
Team player, Self-motivated, Proactive, and showing initiative at all levels.
Ability to troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve problems with minimum support
Following all the companys safety rules and policies.
Wearing safety equipment and PPE.
Reporting all dangerous or unsafe behavior to the supervisor or the manager.
Never to engage in any unsafe act.
