Theatre Unit Manager - Kimberly

*UNIT MANAGER (THEATRE)* *Kimberly, Northern Cape*       *The main purpose of this position:*   The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary team   In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit     *Requirements:*   * A relevant nursing qualification (BCur Degree/ or relevant management qualification) * Post Basic Theatre qualification * Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Unit Manager/shift leader in the specialised areas * Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations * Compulsory BLS certification * Advanced Computer Literacy * Knowledge and experience on SAP and Kronos will be beneficial * Flexible in working hours/Shifts * Sound Theatre knowledge and experience     *Duties & Responsibilities:*   * Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence-based practice * Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution * Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes * Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care * Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees * Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to * Implement group quality initiatives * Liaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to the business       *Should you meet the above requirements, we urge you to please apply by forwarding your CV along with any supporting documents to *(tracy@glass-house.co.za)(mailto:tracy@glass-house.co.za)
